FrancisFrancis X1 Ground Handle - Current UK X1 Model.

Replacement/spare handle for the 3rd generation (current model) X1 machine. Suitable for X1 GROUND model only. This only takes ground coffee. Not suitable for CLASSIC (POD & ground), TRIO (POD) or CAPSULE machines.

Complete with single and double baskets plus single and double black plastic push-on spouts.

X1 Ground takes ground coffee only (no PODS). The Ground machine (3rd generation) has black plastic spouts on it's handle, the machine's lights change from red to green and the machine beeps when up to temperature. There are also icons (cup + steam) under the switches. Available late 2007 - current.

FrancisFrancis X1 Classic 2nd Generation Ground Kit

This replacement Ground Coffee Kit is designed to fit your 2nd generation Francis Francis X1 Classic machine (brass boiler only). It comes complete with handle, screw on metal spout, the all important two part tamper (tamper handle and tamper disc), single and double baskets and measuring spoon Suitable for X1 brass boiler, 2nd generation only.

The 2nd generation X1 had a brass boiler. The machine was a pod+ground machine. Some early models had the child's face in the temp guage - but not all.The dimension of the handle (from outer lug to outer lug) was 71mm. Ground coffee handle had a metal screw-on spout. The ESE pod handle spout is cast part of the handle and protrudes from the handle by aprox 22mm. Look in the area where water is dispensed from the boiler, there is a centre sieve around which is a rubber o-ring seal (red or black), if around this there is a brass coloured area then it has brass internals. Available late 2003-2008.

Also compatible with X3, X4 and X5 machines.

X1 Classic ground coffee handle. Complete with handle with built in spout, baskets and measuring spoon. Suitable for X1 aluminium boiler, 1st generation only.

1st generation, aluminium boiler POD handles are no longer available.

The 1st generation X1 had an aluminium boiler. The temperature guage has a picture of a child in the middle. The machine was a pod+ground machine. The dimension of the handle (from outer lug to outer lug) was 66mm. Ground coffee handle didn't have a screw on spout, just two holes that the coffee is dispensed from. The ESE pod handle spout is cast part of the handle and protrudes from the handle by aprox 15mm. Look in the area where water is dispensed, if it's all silver coloured then it's aluminium. Available 1999-2004.

FrancisFrancis ESE POD Handle

X1 & X6 TRIO ESE POD Handle. Suitable for FrancisFrancis TRIO machines only.

Complete with single black plastic push-on spout.

The TRIO has a three position extraction system. There are three pictures of cups on the group head where the handle is inserted into the machine. Turn the handle to these positions to acheive a ristretto, espresso or lungo.

The X1 TRIO ESE POD machine was not available in the UK. The X6 TRIO was available in the UK. TRIO machines only use ESE PODs, there is no ground coffee alternative.
