The FrancisFrancis X1 Espresso Coffee Machine is now in it's third generation of production. The stylish design has been tweeked a little here and there, however the much admired iconic design is still there in all it's magnificence.

The updated and improved X1 model (from November 2007) uses ground coffee only. The new Ground X1 offers superior performance and produces a much improved serving of espresso and cappuccino. We've tried it! We like it! We're sure you'll be delighted too.

If you decide to purchase elsewhere (we hope you don't, but you can't win them all), please ensure you are buying the current model complete with the latest updated features and improvements (the X1 takes ground coffee only, not pods; the ESE pod option was only available on previous generations 1999-2007). Also ensure that you purchase UK specification product. If you buy from outside of the UK, FrancisFrancis have stated that warranty is valid only in the country of purchase.

The X1 has a removable 1.5 litre water reservoir, a 17 bar pump, brass boiler and steam for frothing and steaming milk. It is available in various colours, almond, red, black, deep blue, light blue, yellow, orange and is also available in stainless steel.

Makes great espresso, froth milks with steam wand for cappuccino and latte drinks. The stylish X7 uses iperEspresso coffee capsules only, producing coffee with great flavour, aroma and crema.

FrancisFrancis Ground Coffee Kits for Classic machines

Brings another dimension to your FrancisFrancis coffee machine, enabling you to experiment with your favourite blend of ground coffee. Of course it's more challenging to use then the E.S.E pods - but that's the fun of it.

Available as BRASS boiler kit (2nd generation FrancisFrancis Classic* machines from late 2004-early 2008) and also as ALUMINIUM boiler kit for the 1st generation (1999- early 2004) Classic* machines.

*A Classic machine is one which takes both pod and ground coffee.

The BRASS kits are compatible with FrancisFrancis X1, X3, X4 and X5.
The Aluminium kits are compatible with FrancisFrancis X2, and 1st generation aluminium boiler (pre 2004) X1 machines.
Neither are compatible with the FrancisFrancis X1, X3 or X6 TRIO machines - these use only E.S.E PODS, or the 3rd generation FrancisFrancis Ground machines (ground coffee only - NO PODS - from Nov 2007 onwards).

Replacement X6 TRIO (pod only) handles and X1 3rd generation (ground only) handles are also available.
